Most people’s misconception is that you need to know baseball or softball to volunteer with little league, that is just not true. In fact out of the 10 positions on the Board of Directors only 4 need a real knowledge of the athletics side. The rest of the positions are admin and run much like a small corporation.
From Operations, Financials, Facility Upkeep, Volunteer Coordination, Media and Advertising. If you have a working knowledge of any of these aspects or want to learn, we have the need for volunteers.
Our policy is that anyone desiring to serve on the board of directors must first complete a year in a leadership role with the board as a Staff Member. Most staff positions operate in the above positions already but in an evaluation period. If you are interested in exploring what you can bring to the Leadership of the league, we are very interested to see what we can accomplish together.
